You need to consider a few things, including the customer who buys it, other disciplines who make and sell it, and the executive teams who give you the resources to do it. As a product person, you know how hard it is to keep all of them in the loop.

Enter the initiative document, a one-pager that focuses on the problem you are trying to solve. It has the right information to provide to the team to make asynchronous decisions.

In this talk, Adam Thomas will talk about this initiative format and how you can use it to keep teams aligned with team mission/vision (executives) / strategy (you/product)/ objectives and avoiding those third rails early (the other teams).

In this session, join Adam Thomas, Product Leader to learn:

  • How does an initiative document help solve those problems
  • How do you know it’s working.
