EVDnC ("evidence", Extreme Value-driven Coaching/Craftsmanship) is an innovative Agile technique based on fast paced Scrum. EVDnC aims to boost the effectiveness of Agile teams through the intensive application of techniques related to Scrum, Kanban, Lean Startups and others, ranging from the understanding of business needs to the techniques used for software development.

EVDnC can be used as a coaching technique, adopted for a short period of time (e. g., one week) with the support of experienced Agile Coaches. EVDnC can also be used on a recurrent basis, from time to time. Finally, EVDnC can be used continuously by teams aiming to maximize their outcomes to their best.

We've helped nearly 300 teams on the use of EVDnC since about 6 years ago, when we created it. The EVDnC process is documented at http://evdnc.org (for now, still as an Agile Coaching process).

EVDnC brings significant results in as short as a single week of intensive work, where teams run "one day Sprints" and create a shippable product increment every day. Each day is full of opportunities for inspection and adaptation. Everyday, the team selects a common goal and the work done must converge to a working product that may be shipped.

EVDnC maintains a strict focus on user and business value - a focus on the problems, not on pre-defined solutions. Business people and dev teams cooperate very closely to understand, on each step taken, what is the business need to achieve and then to define the solutions. User Stories are sliced in very thin valuable slices and prioritized as needed to deliver the best value to the user as quickly as possible.

As the system is stressed, problems and dysfunctions, often deeply hidden in the organizational culture and structure, emerge quickly. Matters that would only come up after months of regular work can start to be addressed immediately.
